ZYTO technology is a communication system through which information is transmitted and analyzed.

Communication is the transmission of information and knowledge. As human beings, we consider ourselves intelligent based upon the information we retain and how we act on that information.

On a simplified level, it is obvious how valuable information and communication are. For example, a teacher instructs her students to recognize specific shapes, and they learn to read. A pilot navigates his passengers safely through the sky by trusting data communicated from various locations throughout the world. In both instances, the transmission and receipt of information are vital to survival and human understanding.

Dr. Vaughn R Cook, OMD, founded ZYTO to create operating systems that facilitate the transfer of information between computers and human beings. Since 2004, health professionals around the world have used ZYTO technology to improve patient care and clinical outcomes. ZYTO’s main purpose is to assist in the transmission of information in a quick, painless, and subliminal manner.

ZYTO creates communication systems through which information is transmitted and analyzed. Our technology is the link between two information processors: a computer and a human body. ZYTO instruments monitor dynamic biological states in near-real time and then create a stimulus-response experience called a bio-survey. During the bio-survey, computer data (called virtual stressors) are used to stimulate observable changes in the biological state.

Using patent-pending methods, ZYTO technology analyzes the interchange between the stimulus from the computer and the response from the patient’s body. This data provides valuable clinical information that ZYTO practitioners use to create improved and comprehensive client-specific health solutions.

By accessing data at a subconscious level, health practitioners using ZYTO technology are able to expand their patients' care options. With ZYTO, they can design relevant questions and receive detailed answers that serve as navigational aids. Even though this information is not diagnostic, it can facilitate better diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.

Leading clinicians, from locations around the world, are now using ZYTO technology. Are the results accurate?

Yes. ZYTO health care practitioners have performed hundreds of thousands of assessments worldwide and have used ZYTO information to guide them in making clinical decisions with great success and satisfaction.

What can I diagnose or treat with the technology?

Nothing, ZYTO technology is not designed to diagnose or treat. It is a tool designed to assist in finding the body's preferences for any list of items. In a clinical setting, this information is used by health care professionals to determine which approach, or products, will maximize therapeutic results for their patients.

Do you have FDA approval?

ZYTO technology does not qualify for FDA registration because none of our systems are medical devices. The FDA defines a medical device as:

"The term "device" . . . means an instrument, . . .which is--
(1) recognized in the official National Formulary, or the United States Pharmacopeia, or any supplement to them,
(2) intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, in man or other animals, or
(3) intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of man or other animals, and which does not achieve its primary intended purposes through chemical action within or on the body of man or other animals and which is not dependent upon being metabolized for the achievement of its primary intended purposes. "

ZYTO technology is:
  1. Not recognized in any Formulary or Pharmacopeia.
  2. Not intended to diagnose or treat.
  3. Not intended to affect the structure or function of the body.

We often compare our technology to the clipboard, pen, and printed health history form that a doctor gives a new patient. These are tools used to gather information about the patient. The completed health history has significant clinical value, but that does not mean the clipboard, pen, and printed form are medical devices.

Although information gathered with ZYTO technology can have significant clinical value, that information is simply another form of questionnaire (called a bio-survey) and ZYTO technology is simply the tool used for 'filling in the form.'

Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a registered FDA consulting organization confirmed that ZYTO's technology is not a medical device and therefore does not require FDA registration (approval). We are always reviewing changes in the industry and the laws of the countries we operate in to remain in compliance.

Are the results reproducible?

No. In fact we do not expect them to be. In quantum physics this is referred to as quantum indeterminacy in which the observation or measurement itself affects the results. In effect, we have asked the body a question, received the response, and the body's energy has shifted in doing so. However, this does tell us that the first question yields the most accurate response because the body's energy has not yet changed as a result of the question-response event.

How does the technology work?

In the most basic terms, ZYTO technology uses quantum physics as well as established Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) technology to measure fluctuations in electrical conductivity of the skin. A client places his hand on the ZYTO Hand Cradle™, the ZYTO software sends stimuli to the body using digital signatures that represent actual things, and the fluctuations in GSR are measured and interpreted. The response is an indication of the body's degree of preference for the items being assessed. Clinically, this knowledge is then used to maximize desired results by helping practitioners choose the right solution at the right time.

Are there any research studies on the technology?

There are a myriad of studies that have been conducted over the last century on GSR and its use in measuring the body's reaction to stimuli. There are also many papers and studies that have been created on quantum physics, the mind-body relationship, and other quantum theories.

How far apart should I do the assessments?

This is really up to the discretion of the practitioner. There are situations where an assessment could be done every day and others where it makes sense every month. Time between assessments is determined by therapy chosen for any particular patient, but as a rule assessments are spaced by 3-6 weeks.

How long does it take to learn and implement the system?

The Balance can be mastered and implemented in a matter of hours. The LSA Pro is more complex and takes several hours to learn, and a few days to implement (by the time you work it into your normal clinic flow).

Most practitioners feel they have truly integrated ZYTO technology into their practices after four to six weeks of active use. This gives them time to see patients more than once, and track progress. When they see the positive benefits patients receive when bio-survey information is part of the clinical decision process, practitioners are comfortable and confident.

What type of support and training are provided?

ZYTO conducts online training several times each week. Additionally, we have video tutorials available on different software topics that you can view any time. We also provide phone and online support during normal business hours.

Each year we conduct an Annual User's Conference. This is a multi-day conference that is free to all active ZYTO health professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to get advanced training and education.

What is the warranty?

One-year on ZYTO hardware; and software upgrades, data backup, and technical support are all provided as part of our flat-fee subscription program.
